Space Facts That Most People Don't Know About Yet

To know more the interesting facts about our solar system and the expanding universe really is an exciting feat. Opting to learn and know more about the unknown really is something that is considered to be a great achievement, especially since we still have little understanding of what really is out there beyond what our telescopes and technology is capable of reaching at the moment.

Make sure you are to read along as a means for you to actually learn more about the space and increase your understanding about the things that we have around us.

Right off the bat, among the things that not every people know about is that a million Earths can actually fit inside the sun. Our sun also is considered to be an average-size star and there are still others that are just larger in multitude times than our sun's size.

Over the years, people and scientists just thought of Earth to be the only planet in the solar system that is gifted enough to have waters until just recently. Little did scientists know, that there also is water on Mars that runs intermittently. This was just recently noticed and confirmed by scientists at NASA confirmed and found the strongest pieces of evidence.

Not everyone knows what a comet is composed of as well but back when the solar system was born 4.5 billion years ago, these still have the very components they had back then, which include ice, carbon dioxide, and sand. Jumping on Mars and Moon may be possible but in Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter, this will be impossible since there is no solid surface you could jump on from. Should it be possible for people to ride planes to go to Pluto, no one would stay alive when the plane arrives since it would take more than 800 years for the plane to reach Pluto. That alone should give you a perspective on how far Pluto really is.

There also are garbage in space as well and these most likely are man-made garbage but instead of going somewhere, they are left to orbit the Earth. The fact at that there were so many of these you could find now, which sums up to 500,000 pieces more in total, are just floating around the Earth. These possible garbage range from a number of pieces, from spanners, satellites, rocket fragment and more, all of which are from the ISS or the International Space Station.

Did you even know we have an asteroid that enters the Earth's atmosphere each year, but the good thing is that these things actually burn up completely before they make any impact at all?

The name of the highest mountain known that sits on an asteroid is named Vesta. The fact at that this is 22km in height means that it will need 3 Mount Everests to breakeven such height.
